11 Ottawa Makeup Artists for Your Wedding & Events

Are you planning your wedding in Ottawa? It’s difficult to know where to begin, and there are countless different vendors in the city to choose from. Once your venue is booked and the date is secure, I recommend looking at photographers, hair stylists and makeup artists next. As a tip, always make sure your vendors are insured and have a contract for you both to review and sign.

Ottawa has numerous talented makeup artists, too many to count or include in one post. Based on my personal wedding planning, these following makeup artists were found while researching or personally referred to me. I don’t think you could go wrong with any!

1. Stephanie Bullock Makeup

Stephanie Bullock was the Ottawa makeup artist most referred to me, and there’s no wondering why. Stephanie does beautiful work and has a number of glowing reviews under her belt, while her prices remain fairly competitive. She also provides airbrush tanning services in addition to makeup. She was already booked on my wedding date, but offered the option of her team members to do my makeup on my special day. You can view her team’s portfolio here.

Pricing: Based on packages; the premium package including 6 makeup applications and a bridal trial is $775. Add on services available.

Lashes: Included.

Travel Fee: $0.80 per KM beyond the distance included in chosen package.

2. Lyz Plant

Even by scanning Lyz’s website, you can tell her vibe is infectious and that she would be a fun addition to your special day. She’s obsessed with clean beauty and using makeup as a tool for confidence. Lyz has a seriously impressive resume full of fashion events and recognizable faces, including none other than Schitt’s Creek’s Catherine-freaking-O’Hara. If wedding budget wasn’t a factor, I would have hired her immediately.

Pricing: Bride $300 including trial, attendants $105, full day packages starting at $1300 total.

Lashes: Extra except for bride.

Travel Fee: Yes, contact for quote if outside the city of Ottawa.

3. Caroline S Rose Makeup

One thing that stood out to me when admiring Caroline’s makeup photos was the diversity of her portfolio. Many different skin tones and looks, heck yes! I was completely hooked when not only was she available on my day, but she had very competitive pricing and was one of the least expensive artists I came across. I have officially booked her for my special day in 2022, stay tuned for more photos and a detailed review! Current reviews say she’s great with time management – necessary with specific wedding day timelines.

Pricing: Bride $110, bride trial $100, 3 or more attendants $95 each.

Lashes: Included in pricing.

Travel Fee: $0.80 for every additional KM over 30KM, depending on location.

4. Makeup By Nicole

Another one of my top picks, Nicole also has diverse clients featured in her portfolio. I was particularly drawn to photos she had posted of a red-haired model as one of my bridesmaids is a redhead. The makeup is stunning and I knew that I wouldn’t have to worry about beautiful makeup application with Nicole. A minimum of 4 makeup applications is required for the rates below.

Pricing: Bride $135 and $110 for a trial, $100 for attendants.

Lashes: Included in cost for bride. $15 for attendants. Touch up kit for bride also included.

Travel Fee: $0.60 per additional KM travelled over 20KM from Nepean.

5. Paige KW Makeup

With a beautiful online portfolio, Paige showcases both simply clean and dramatic colourful looks. She particularly loves a glowing complexion, fluffy brows and smoked out eyes. Her prices are competitive, and lean towards the more cost-effective end of the spectrum. If you plan on visiting her in studio, especially for a trial, note that she is located in Arnprior.

Pricing: Bride including trial $250, attendants $90 each.

Lashes: included.

6. Taryn Makeup

If you’re looking for something glamorous, Taryn is the artist for you. She also does make up for fashion print and other events, in addition to weddings. She hopes to accentuate one’s beauty with makeup, and clearly treats it like an art form. Taryn offers optional extras that includes eye makeup only, touch ups and men’s grooming.

Pricing: Bride $150 and $125 for trial, attendants are $115 per person.

Lashes: Included in rates.

Travel Fee: $40 within Ottawa and $0.80 per KM outside of Ottawa.

7. Makeup by Yelena

With over 17 years of experience, Yelena provides makeup to a diverse range of clients across Ottawa and the valley. She doesn’t follow trends and knows that there is no ‘one size fits all’ in regards to makeup. She promises you’ll look radiant and fresh, giving you quality work for reasonable rates.

8. Rebecca Rose Beauty

Rebecca Rose Beauty is an Ottawa beauty salon, offering multiple talented makeup artists, in addition to other specialists. You can hire their team for in studio or mobile makeup services. Mobile makeup services, in your home for example, require a minimum party of four for booking. Check their website for other beauty services and bridal gifts.

Pricing: Bride $150 and $100 trial, $90 for attendants. Elite packages and additions available.

Lashes: Included with bridal makeup, $10 for attendants.

Travel Fee: $0.76 per KM above 25 KM travel.

9. One Fine Beauty

One Fine Beauty (Shannon) offers bridal makeup packages which includes a makeup trial, day of application and false lashes. She has over 20 years of experience and has worked on over 1000 brides. She’s also worked with many recognizable faces including Olympic skater Tessa Virtue and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Shannon offers airbrush makeup as an optional add-on.

Pricing: Bridal application and trial $425, attendants $125 per person.

Lashes: Included in bridal rates, extra for attendants. Lashes are $15.

Travel Fee: Serves Ottawa, Kingston, PEC and Toronto without fees, inquire for more.

10. Shannon Doyle Beauty

Shannon Doyle has worked for a number of high profile events, including the 2012 Juno Awards and has worked on clients such as Marianas Trench and Carly Ray Jepsen. Numerous reviews mention not only her attention to detail but how fun of an addition she was on that special day. She is a talented hairstylist as well; you’re able to book her and her team for both services or choose one or the other.

Pricing: Bride is $150 on the day and $150 for a trial, attendants are $125 each.

Lashes: Included in fee.

Travel Fee: $1.00 per KM over 50KM, flat fee of $40 additionally if less then 4 people.

11. Olivia Foulkes Makeup

Beauty, bridal and fashion, Olivia has experience and a love of keeping up with the latest trends to push her work. Whether you want a natural look or complete glam, Olivia can get it done. She has a diverse clientele and her portfolio proves she can work with a variety of skin tones. What I found and loved about Olivia, is that she has her availability saved in her highlights on Instagram so no need to send an email if she’s already booked on your day!
